4D Locate Solutions directly provides Public and Private Utility Locates services to help clients understand what's buried below the surface before breaking ground. Whether as part of a full survey package or as a standalone deliverable, our utility locating services reduce risk, prevent costly damages, and improve project outcomes.

Public utility locates (requested via your local One Call service) identify utilities owned by major

service providers. However, they do not capture private utilities located on commercial, industrial, residential, or institutional sites.

Our Private Locate Services fill that gap by identifying buried utilities that are typically the owner's responsibility, such as:

• Secondary power lines

• Gas or water laterals beyond the meter

• Communication and fiber infrastructure

• Private lighting or control wiring

• Irrigation and process piping

Our experienced, knowledgeable, and DPT certified technicians use electromagnetic (EM) pipe and cable locators to locate, trace, and mark every type of conductive utility line with a high degree of accuracy. Most importantly, when a utility cannot be confidently located our technicians will assist you with finding appropriate means to mitigate the risk and get your job done safely.
